This class will require you to work very hard and to complete homework daily. If you are not prepared to do so, then you are not likely to be successful. A grade of 80% or up in PC11 is recommended for students heading into this course.

We complete a chapter approximately every 10 days. There is no catch up time during class.

Course Materials:

All students are required to have the following items every day:
  •   Binder with paper or coil notebook with > 100 pg
  • Mechanical pencil or very sharp standard pencil and erasers
  • Ruler – for graphs
  • Scientific calculator plus graphing calculator or graphing app.
Notebooks and pencils can be purchased from me by donation to Neighbourlink.

Classroom Expectations:

Absences:

If you will be absent, have your parent or legal guardian contact the school. It is your responsibility to contact the teacher on the first day of your return to class at the latest. You will then arrange a new due date for ALL the work that you missed. If you have an excused absence the day of a chapter test, you will be able to write it the following day outside of class time.  There will be no pushing back tests because you didn’t get the work done.

Missing/Late Assignments

Missing assignments are not acceptable. You are expected to use class time effectively to complete assigned questions and some for homework if necessary. If you fall behind or have missed a day, make sure to seek extra help and complete the missing work as soon as possible.
